The MC at the BUPA London 10,000 kept on reminding us that we were competing with the best athletes in the world. After all we ran with Mo Farah and Paula Radcliffe in the London 10K today.
The truth is rather more sobering: we were participating with these top athletes rather than competing with them. Mo Farah won the race in a time of 29:15 and Paula Radcliffe in 32:23 – how can we compete with that?

I finished in a modest time of 47:51 which is position 1515 out of 11,000 runners – according to the BUPA London 10,000 website.
After all said and done, Stefano and I thoroughly enjoyed the day and taking part. It was well organised and we ran in near perfect conditions.
